During the last week our class was visited by Professional photographer and film-maker Sion Rowe. Rowe showed us a variety of different techniques on how to make titles more engaging in our media piece, among other pro tips and shortcuts around Adobe Premier pro.
One of the techniques we were taught was an interesting and very eye catching effect where the video playing is seen through the text and the rest of the screen is dark. This effect is obtained by using the track matte effect on the text layer and making it so that the layer behind can be seen through this layer.
This workshop was very useful in my final product, I may not end up using this effect in my final piece, however I still learned some useful tips and tricks.
